Sex After Baby
I found a great essay by about dealing with the “sex after baby” issue. Not always, but usually, men and women are at very different places about when to resume sexual intimacy after they become parents. It can lead to conflict between you and your partner, which is the last thing you need when you’re exhausted and stressed-out already. Go here to view the essay.
In most cases your doctor will give you the green light about sex at your six-week postpartum check-up. Many moms feel like six weeks is hardly any time, but the dads are typically anxious and ready to go after what, to them, has been a long six weeks.
Communication between you and your partner about what you both need, and how you can compromise, will go a long way during this time.
