It seems quite a common theme in my agegroup 40-50. I am at the stage of researching what effect this has had on my life and my children. i had a mother who did not ever talk to me or have a conversation with me. She is not a bad person, she is very loved infact. I have absolutely no idea why she has no interest in me and feel that i may have some dysfunction which is embedded. I recently cut off communications and my mother announced to the family that she feels nothing. i don't think she was being spiteful, she actually feels nothing, i'm not taking this personally.
